Photo Gallery

A few kilometer long ,prominent, lime, rocky massif rises high above the town of Zakopane. It is the most distinctive peak in the area and it has been referred to as the "Sleeping Knight" based on its silhouette and old legend. Giewont is a symbolic mountain and has a special place in Polish national spirit and identity. Massif offers great views and wonderful summit panorama in all directions.

The best time of year to climb is from September through October when the Tatras around Zakopane characteristically have sunny weather.
